Collection of your Personal Information

Polaris collects personal information, such as your e-mail address, name, and telephone number. Polaris also collects certain information about your computer hardware and software. This information may include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times. This information is used by Polaris for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of Polaris.

Use of your Personal Information

Polaris keeps track of the pages our users visit within Polaris, in order to monitor what Polaris sites and services are being used. This data is also used by Polaris to deliver content utilized by particular subject area. Polaris collects and uses your personal information to operate Polaris and deliver the services you have requested. Polaris does not use or disclose sensitive personal information. Polaris does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists to third parties.

Polaris is committed to protecting the security of your personal information. For example, we store the personal information you provide on computer systems with limited access, that are located in controlled facilities. When we transmit confidential information over the Internet, we protect it through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.

Service Quality Monitoring

Polaris may send information collected on your machine back to the Polaris service to help us monitor the quality of our service. We use the data to help maintain the performance, reliability, and usefulness of Polaris. Critical performance errors in Polaris will be automatically collected and sent for diagnostic purposes.

Roaming Profiles

Polaris gives you access to all of your settings even when you sign in to Polaris on different computers ("roaming"). All of these settings are stored on secure Polaris servers. The sole purpose of storing the information on the server is to provide you with the convenience of having your settings available to you anywhere, even if you use multiple computers. Your settings are not used by Polaris for any purpose other than to provide you access to them.

Polaris will occasionally update this Privacy Statement to reflect company and customer feedback. Polaris encourages you to periodically review this Statement to be informed of how Trident is protecting your information.
